LRE Weddings - Kate and Greg's Blue Hill Wedding

Finally getting back to my Wedding Wednesday posts after a long break for wedding season followed by the arrival of Baby Joe.  Time to get back at it and start prepping for the 2016!

Kate and Greg's Blue Hill Wedding was one of my favorites from 2015, we had a beautiful June day for the wedding, an all star team of vendors and a laid back, fun couple!

Liza Lubell of Peartree took Kate's vision of local, seasonal flowers in a variety of colors, textures and vases artfully arranged and ran with it.  Our bride is an artist too and after selecting a florist who fit her aesthetic she completely trusted Liza with her vision and let Liza select which types of flower and colors, just about everything and the look was stunning!  Kate also did a series of beautiful, delicate pencil drawings featuring the types of flowers and herbs Liza used in the arrangements as table numbers.  Regas, our stationery experts, took Kate's drawings and designed both the table numbers and the escort cards to look like little seed packets.

The team at Blue Hill provided their always impeccable food, beverage and service!  Always a pleasure to work with this team.

DJ, Jason Fioto, had everyone up and dancing to a mix of late 90s early 2000s hip hop mixed with some wedding favorites and some current dance hits too.  Take note - best way recently to pack a dance floor is to bring back hits from the late 90s and early 2000s, a trend that I LOVE as these songs bring me back to high school and college.

And here are the photos from Erik Ekroth (yet another favorite vendor, see all star team on this one!) -

LRE Weddings - Julianna and Rich - Canfield Casino, Saratoga Springs

Happy Wedding Wednesday and Happy Spring!  Finally some warm weather here in NYC.  Here are some of my favorite photos from a Saratoga Springs wedding last September.  It was such a pleasure working with Juilianna and Rich, fellow Brooklynites and they just happen to select the same venue in Saratoga Springs that Joe and I selected almost 3 years ago for our wedding.  It was great being back at the Canfield Casino!

There's quite the story behind this wedding, during the rehearsal dinner we received a phone call that the venue was having an issue with their roof/ceiling and we were no longer going to be able to host the wedding reception in the main ballroom.  Luckily after a lot of back and forth and contingency plans we were able to go back to our original plan and were able to use the Ballroom for the reception (this is where us wedding planners come in quite handy!  Of course in a situation like this, the bride and groom and their families were quite involved in dealing with this issue, but we were there to assist and make tons of phone calls, new plans, and call in as many favors as necessary to make this wedding perfect for our clients!).

Here are the photos, so may great ones from Hoffer Photography! -

How stunning is Julianna??
Every bridal party should have a dance party while getting ready.

A little Taylor Swift "Shake it Off" action shot :-)

Father/Daughter First Look

My favorite part of every wedding (well every wedding that chooses to have a First Look)

And this is why it's my favorite :-)

Little trip to the race track for some photos

Loving all of the rich colors!

Great photo of a large Groom's Party!

What a great backdrop for these portraits of Julianna and Rich!

Love this one :-)

Ceremony Details

Perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony.

I LOVE Rich's dad's expression in this one!

Reception Details.

Head table for the wedding party.

Just love this space!  Maybe that's why I chose it for my own wedding :-)

So pretty.

Love this black and white of the First Dance.

And it's party time!

This group definitely knew how to have a good time!

Congrats again Julianna and Rich!  So much fun working with the two of you and your families!

LRE Weddings - Lauren and Mark - Allegria Hotel

Well it's been almost a year since Lauren and Mark celebrated their wedding at the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach, NY and I'm finally getting around to posting in.  Lauren is in the event business so when she came to me about a year before her wedding, she knew exactly what she wanted and exactly what she needed!  Even if you're in the business, it's great to have someone there the day of your wedding so that you can relax and be the bride, nobody wants to deal with the details on their wedding day when there's better things to do (like hang out with your friends and family and for this group, dance your butt off all night!)

Speaking of dancing - Lauren and Mark told me that their family and friends loved to dance, but I have to say, I've never seen a crowd so into it!!!  ALL of the guests were up on that dancefloor from the first song and I can tell you, Lauren and Mark put together quite the playlist (NOTE - WEDDING TREND - LATE 90s EARLY 2000s MUSIC - SO MUCH FUN!)

And here are the photos from Jesse Pafundi of Golden Hour Studios www.goldenhourstudios.com

Love this color for the bridesmaid dresses!  So stunning next to the ocean too!

Keeping the ceremony decor simple and taking advantage of the beautiful view.

Post ceremony emotion

The bride wanted a classic and simple look for her wedding flowers so we stuck to beautiful white roses and white peonies in silver mercury glass.

I told you they love to dance!

If the bride and groom are on the dance floor - guests will follow!

How cute are they?

And Baked By Melissa mini cupcakes to go!
