LRE Weddings - Adam and Joshua - Pratt House

First of all - Happy One Year Anniversary Adam and Josh!  I met Adam and Josh probably six months or so before their wedding to begin planning and design.  They had already selected their venue (Pratt House, a caterer (Union Square Events), photographers (Entwined Studios) and their entertainment (Melissa Morgan), they were off to a great start but needed some assistance pulling it all together and coming up with the look of their celebration!

Adam and Josh knew they wanted a more casual ceremony, we originally planned on a City Hall ceremony the Friday prior to the Reception, but changed closer to the wedding date as they decided they wanted to be able to include all of the guests in this special moment.  We decided to go with a standing ceremony with some seating in the front from some guests but most guests stood along with the grooms and officiant.  The grooms wrote their own vows adding some humor to the intimate ceremony.

After the ceremony it was upstairs for cocktails and dinner.  Adam and Josh wanted the party to have an elegant dinner party theme with AMAZING food and wine from Danny Meyer's Union Square Events followed by dancing to Melissa Morgan's beautiful voice, one of the couple's favorite Jazz Artists.  They also knew that they wanted to have long trestle tables for their dinner.  We had a great time at Party Rental LTD picking out the rentals including a stunning charger plate.  I knew from the beginning that I really wanted to go with a modern yet classic look for the flowers, lots of candles and all white mass of one type flowers down the tables in rectangular and square containers.  I just love the variety of texture from white fluffy hydrangea to more architectural calla lilies and tulips.  The final product is the perfect combination of classic yet modern elegance.
